How should colleges respond to the increase in student poverty?Colleges have always had a higher than average proportion of students facing economic hardship but the current cost of living crisis is increasing the number of students affected and intensifying the challenges they face.This panel will draw on the lived experience of college students and staff to understand the impact of poverty on students’ health and learning and to ask what colleges can do to support those students most affected.

I'll present my doctoral research on how we can develop poverty inclusive practices in further education, and why we need to!

It's a session steeped in critical pedagogy, cognitive justice, and education for democracy.
